In order to increase my ‘cheese fund’, I have decided to put my brothers to work. Considering the popularity of the X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, I would like to announce the formation of a new boy band….fronted by my brothers Anton and Otto and Arrbee from Iowa. I have high hopes that they will take the world of wiener music by storm (and rake in a few pennies for my ‘cheese fund’).
At present Hughie is acting as voice coach and music teacher, helping Anton master the tambourine and Otto the drums. Both will provide backing vocals for Arrbee, who is to be lead singer. He has, according to his mother Sandi, a great line in ‘boofs’ (as opposed to ‘woofs’). To be honest, my brothers still have a long way to go regarding their singing voices, but what they lack in tonal quality, they make up for with enthusiasm!
So far Sunny and his brother Maxy have been hired as ’security’ for the US tour , and their sister Lucy is taking charge of publicity (hopefully - she hasn’t agreed to that yet) and selling souvenirs and programmes at the band’s venues. I will be, of course, acting as manager, but there are still a few vacancies, should any others wish to become part of this sensational venture.
The ‘working name’ of the band is currently ‘the Teckels’, but if anyone can come up with a better one, please feel free to make suggestions.
So…. all you dachsies, we are relying on all of you to make this foray into the world of pop music the success that it deserves to be.

Lord Kinnon herewith makes formal application for an audition to the Teckel Boiz Band. I am definitely a boi soprano with a full range of talents. I can sing loudly and vociferously while striking the bars of my crate with my tail. Sometimes, when not singing, I can use my rawhide bone to play scales as well. Please cousins. You already have a member from this side of the pond, and my ancestry IS British after all. Consider me for the band. I will help with the cheese fund for just a slight taste. Daddy Chuck is SO stingy with the food these days! One would think that the single little bitty pound that I gained was going to cause the earth to collapse!

Looks like you’re in ‘boi’. We could use a blond, long haired ‘front man’, as the rest of them are b&t smoothies. Keep practising and we’ll get in touch as soon as plans are more finalised. Maybe your Dad could buy you a keyboard and you could learn to play it by running up and down the keys? Could you also learn some songs?
Regarding food….. I have it all in hand!
